Heather blasts chef over eating calf testicles

Heather Mills has blasted Jamie Oliver for his behavior on ‘Jamie’s American Road Trip’.

The former model – whose ex-husband is Beatles legend Paul McCartney – says scenes of the TV chef castrating a male calf and then eating the testicles made her sick to her stomach.

Heather fumed on her Twitter page: “I'm horrified watching Jamie Oliver castrate calves and eat their b*****ks, how low can you go, he says they taste like Scampi!”

Since winning a £24.3m divorce settlement from Paul last year, Heather, 41, has become a full-time animal rights campaigner and recently opened vegan restaurant VBites in Brighton.

Heather is not the only person to criticise Jamie for his alleged cruel cooking on the show, which aired on Tuesday night.

Director of Animal Aid, Andrew Taylor, said: "The public is convinced Jamie Oliver is the real deal but hopefully this barbaric act will open their eyes to the fact he is a phony when it comes to animal welfare. He pretends he cares about animals but this makes an utter mockery of that. Castrating cattle in this way is vicious and grotesque and he's giving credibility to an ugly trade. If he thinks this is good prime time TV he has been duped."

However, Jamie’s spokesperson defended his actions insisting the object of the programme is to show the British public the different aspects of American life and cuisine.

The spokesperson said: “Jamie is on his American road trip to observe and to learn and to show the viewing public some parts of America they might not know about. Jamie is well-known for his championing of better welfare for animals and has had awards from many animal welfare groups."
