Andre lands TV deal

Peter Andre has landed a six-figure presenting deal with 'This Morning'.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer - who split from wife Katie Price in May - is thrilled with his new role as a roving showbiz reported for the ITV daytime show.

He said: "I'm delighted with the way my career is going. I love TV and I love my music, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel."

Andre will join designers Linda Barker and Danielle Proud and chef John-Christophe Novelli as a reporter on the show, with the new series starting on September 1.

Phillip Schofield will return as the show's presenter, with Holly Willoughby taking over from Fern Britton.

A source said: "Peter is seen as a future star and ITV executives are keen to nurture him on 'This Morning'. He is very natural in front of the cameras."

Andre will obtain exclusive interviews with some of the world's hottest stars at music, film and TV events, and will give his opinions in the studio the next day.
