Susan Sarandon is joining the cast of the ‘Wall Street’ sequel.

The ‘Thelma and Louise’ star is in final talks to play the mother of Shia LaBeouf’s character in ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps’.

It is unclear what sort of role her character will play in the movie, which sees Shia portraying a young trader who gets taken under the wing of Michael Douglas’ Gordon Gecko.

Josh Brolin is to play the villain in the movie, with Frank Langella and Carey Mulligan also signed up to star.

Shooting is set to start in New York next month when the actress begins work on ‘You Don’t Know Jack’.

Oliver Stone is returning to direct the financial saga, 22 years after he helmed the original.

Allan Loeb has penned the script.
