Duffy set for Corry comeback
Keith Duffy is set to return to 'Coronation Street'.
The Boyzone star - who played barman Ciaran McCarthy in the ITV soap for two years - has been in secret talks with producers about making a sensational comeback and will sign a six-month deal with an option to extend it by a further six months.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Everything is in place for him to return in the New Year. It's exciting to have him back."
Scriptwriters are keen for his character to team up with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and help run the gastro-pub being set up to rival The Rovers Return, where he used to work.
During his time in Weatherfield, Ciaran dated a string of women including Sunita Parekah, Tracy Barlow and Bev Unwin.
Sunita, played by Shobna Gulati, is also set to return and it is thought Ciaran could make a play for her again.
Keith is currently on a reunion tour with Boyzone stars Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch but has made no secret of his desire to return to TV.
