Film director John Hughes has died of a heart attack in New York, a spokeswoman said today.

Film director John Hughes has died of a heart attack in New York, a spokeswoman said today.

Michelle Bega said the 59-year-old collapsed during a morning walk in Manhattan, where he was visiting family.
