SuBo to appear in glossy fashion bible

Susan Boyle is to appear in fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar.

The 'Britain's Got Talent' runner-up has seen her unkempt hair and dowdy clothes ditched for a glamorous photo shoot in the famous magazine.

The 48-year-old singer - who became a global star when her performance of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from ‘Les Miserables’ was put on video sharing website YouTube - poses in several designer outfits with professional hair and make-up for the glossy publication.

Boyle said: “It really made me feel like a Hollywood actress. I had my hair done up.

“It will take a bit of adjusting to because I’ve led a sheltered life.”

Laura Brown, Harper's Bazaar’s special projects editor, told US TV programme ‘The Today Show’: “The idea behind the shoot was a very, very simple one. It was to take gorgeous, glamorous and sensitive portraits of her. This was her first magazine photo shoot, so you can't do too much too soon.

“All we did on the shoot was give her a little bit of a haircut, and a little bit of a curl.

“And actually the shape of her hair is great. She's got a really lovely curl to it.”

Boyle will not feature on the cover of the magazine, but will appear in a large spread inside the September issue entitled ‘Susan Boyle: Unsung Hero’.
