Director: Max Mayer

Cast: Hugo Dancy, Rose Byrne, Peter Gallagher

A film that considers the problems of the title character, suffering from Aspergers Syndrome (Dancy) and how a growing relationship with Beth (Buchwald), who has her own troubled background, promises future happiness.

Mayer never takes the easy path but gives his characters the time and space to endear themselves to us, which they do wonderfully well.

It is a film full of heart and hope, quite uplifting and quite satisfying in its maturity, and in its sections of rich, dark humour.

A small film, but a positive little gem.
