Cowell dumps Diversity

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winners Diversity have been dumped by Simon Cowell.

The dance troupe – whose moves are choreographed by Ashley Banjo, 20 - will not be signed to the music mogul’s company Syco while he concentrates on the show’s runner-up, Susan Boyle – who became a global singing sensation after appearing on the show.

A source said: “Simon isn’t going to sign Diversity. He’s a music manager and his talent is turning people into singing stars.”

The 11 members’ dance moves were previously hailed as “sheer perfection” by the 49-year-old show judge and they were tipped to open the 2012 London Olympics and support the Michael Jackson ‘This Is It’ residency in London.

However, by not offering the boys a contract, Cowell has triggered speculation show bosses wanted Boyle, 49, to win so he could help her release an album.

Another source told the News of the World newspaper: “Simon promised to sign Susan – whether or not she won the show. Diversity need specialist people who can help them develop.”
