Winehouse assault trial begins
Singer Amy Winehouse was greeted by a huge press scrum today as she arrived for her trial for an alleged assault on a woman at a charity ball.
She gasped as she stepped out of a black people-carrier to be confronted by more than 60 photographers outside the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court in central London.
The singer, wearing a smart grey suit, was accompanied into the building by a number of personal security staff.
