Sutherland charges dropped

Kiefer Sutherland’s legal troubles for allegedly head-butting a fashion designer are over.

The Manhattan district attorney’s spokeswoman said assault charges against the star of the TV show '24' were being dropped because the alleged victim would not co-operate with prosecutors.

Sutherland was charged in May after designer Jack McCollough said he head-butted him and broke his nose in a Manhattan nightclub.

The pair later issued a joint statement saying they had resolved their differences and Sutherland apologised to McCollough.
