No plans for stand-up return for Sandler
Adam Sandler will not be returning to his stand-up comedy roots anytime soon.
At the world premiere of his new movie 'Funny People' held in Hollywood, Sandler said going back on stage again for the film definitely has not made him want to perform in comedy clubs.
“No, no, no,” Sandler insisted. “Every night I would do it, I was glad I did it and I was practising for the movie but I was looking forward to getting home and hiding in the house.”
According to the star, stand up and acting can both be equally painful experiences.
“They’ve both got their moments,” he explained on the red carpet. “Stand up is good when you’re rolling. When it goes down you feel like: ’Why the hell did I come here?’ and the same thing in acting. If it’s not clicking you feel like an ass.”
