Moss wants to join The Kills

Kate Moss is to audition for lover Jamie Hince’s group The Kills to replace singer Alison Mosshart.

Hince is currently searching for a new singer to perform with after 30-year-old rocker Mosshart left the duo to focus on her other musical project The Dead Weather – which also includes White Stripes guitarist Jack White.

Auditions are set to take place later this week, and although Moss has been dating Jamie for two years, the catwalk beauty won’t receive any favourable treatment

This is not the first time Moss has made it clear she wants to perform with her man.

Last month, the 35-year-old model pleaded with Hince to let her join The Kills on stage at a charity event in London, but the guitarist was against the idea.

A source said: “Kate is keen on doing more singing, she wants her voice out there. But Jamie is refusing to even entertain the idea.”

Moss is no stranger to the music world.

She previously recorded vocals on the Primal Scream song 'Some Velvet Morning', which features on the band's greatest hits album 'Dirty Hits’, and she co-wrote songs and performed on stage with ex-lover Pete Doherty.

Moss has previously admitted she would have been a singer if she hadn’t made it as a model, saying: “I would have wanted to a be a rock star, a lead singer, if I wasn't a model. I would have gone touring in a bus with my band.”
