Comedy monikers for 'X Factor' four

The four ' X Factor' judges use joke names when they stay at hotels.

Simon Cowell checks in as General Mills because he rules the 'X Factor' army, Dannii Minogue goes by Pussy Jones, Cheryl Cole is known as Miss Coco - in a nod to her love of fashion and designer Coco Chanel - while Louis Walsh's code name is Captain Fang due to his recent teeth whitening procedure.

The quartet decided to stop using their real names after becoming worried about being hounded by fans of the TV talent show when they are touring the country for auditions.

A source said: "We've had occasions in the past where fans find out what hotel they're at and call up asking to be put through to Simon or Cheryl and making a pest of themselves.

"Some made naughty suggestive comments or thought they might be able to sway the judges ahead of their audition."

The judges are due to complete the last round of auditions, in Glasgow, Scotland, this week and are said to be delighted with the singers they have seen this year.
