Will Smith will play a street musician in a new movie.
The 'Hancock' actor is set to reunite with his 'I Am Legend' director Francis Lawrence to appear in whimsical fantasy 'The City That Sailed'.
Smith will play a New York street musician whose daughter lives in England.
The little girl finds a room full of magical candles in a lighthouse and wishes her dad could be with her.
The magic of the candles then causes Manhattan to break away from America and make a trip across the Atlantic ocean.
The film is being written by 'The Trueman Show' scripter Andrew Niccol.
No other casting details for the film, which is still in development, have yet been reported.
Prior to appearing in 'The City That Sailed', Smithl is next expected to appear in either 'The World Without Us' or 'Water For Elephants'.
