'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' a matter of taste

The machines are taking over our screens so stand by for – or run away from – the Transformers.

Let’s face it, you either love ‘em or hate ‘em, relish the return of another film from the noisy, headache-inducing series or are revolted by the very thought.

Films full of names like Decepticon, Exterminathon, Destructathon, Explodeathon, etc, etc, etc deliver what fans want so they need no serious criticism … just a shrug of the shoulders and a bored yawm.

OK, so in a complicated plot that merely acts as the glue – gunge – to hold together extermination, destruction, explosions, etc, etc, etc Decepticon returns to Earth to capture Sam (LaBeouf) who has discovered their evil secrets and various enemies join in the battle to save mankind.

Shrug, yawn, headache tablets … hate ‘em!
