Gervais to headline New York Comedy Festival
Ricky Gervais will headline the sixth annual New York Comedy Festival, it has been announced.
Organisers announced today that Gervais and Tracy Morgan will perform at Carnegie Hall.
Specific dates for the performances were not announced - the festival will be held from November 4 to November 8.
Gervais said that it was an honour to headline the festival and to play Carnegie Hall, which he noted was near his apartment.
"I can walk to work," he said. "I won't walk, obviously. I'll take a limo. But I could walk if I had to."
More performers will be announced for the festival later, which expects to showcase more than 150 comedians.
