'Hangover' sequel set for next year

Actor Bradley Cooper has confirmed plans for a sequel to this summer's hit movie 'The Hangover'.

The comedy, starring Cooper and Ed Helms, has been a surprise hit and scored a second week at the top of the box office charts in the US at the weekend, and now Cooper reveals there are plans to make a second film.

He says: "We’re going to shoot it next fall... We’ve gotta go to space or something. Some weird thing's got to happen."

But he hopes the follow-up repeats the same hit formula as the original: "We’ll probably lose (Justin Bartha’s character) Doug again. I hope we lose Doug again. That’d be fun."

The film follows a bachelor party in Las Vegas that goes awry when three friends lose the groom-to-be.
