McCartney eyes MGMT collaboration

Paul McCartney has given New York rockers MGMT a boost by naming the duo the act he would most like to work with.

The Beatles legend is urging the psychedelic-pop band to get in touch with him, insisting he would leap at the chance to work on dance tracks with them.

"I like MGMT," he said. "I'd like to work on some more dance-y stuff with MGMT. But it has to happen organically. We need to talk about it. I can't call them. If they called me, I'd say: 'How did you get my number?'. But I'd do it."

McCartney has previously dabbled with electronic music under the name The Fireman - his

experimental band with record producer and former Killing Joke star Youth.
