Trio join for 'Chipmunks' sequel

Christina Applegate, Anna Faris and Amy Poehler have formed a high-pitched vocal trio for a new family movie.

The actresses will voice singing rodents The Chipettes in the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' sequel, which will open at Christmas.

Faris has confirmed the casting news, revealing: "I’ve been having a blast."
