Carr dreams of 'EastEnders' role

Alan Carr has written a character for himself in ‘EastEnders’.

The flamboyant presenter said he has a “dream role” in mind for his favourite soap which he would be perfect to play alongside John Altman - who portrays bad boy Nick Cotton in the BBC soap.

He said: “I’d love to be in ‘EastEnders’. I could play Nasty Nick’s ever so slightly camper brother.”

Despite wanting to flaunt his camp side on the show, Alan would, however, draw the line at cross- dressing.

Explaining how his new ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’ show differs from his last show ‘The Sunday Night Project’, he said: “There will only be a few skits. I was getting bored dressing up as a woman. Well - you do when you do that at home too.”

The 32-year-old star also lashed out at US pop group Pussycat Dolls, branding them “robotic”.

He told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “I interviewed them when they launched an underwear range and I asked, ‘Are they granny knickers?’

“They just didn’t get it and started going, ‘Oh our underwear suits every type of woman’. I thought, ‘God you’re robots. Just tell me the gossip – that you all really hate that Nicole who does the singing.’

“They irritated me. What’s the point in being on telly if you have no opinions?”
