Boyle misses tour rehearsals
Susan Boyle refused to attend rehearsals for the 'Britain's Got Talent' tour on Tuesday.
The Scottish singer is due to perform at the tour's opening night concert in Birmingham tomorrow, but organisers fear she won't show after she snubbed compulsory dress rehearsals this week.
Susan – who finished runner-up to dance troupe Diversity in the TV talent quest – has also reportedly refused to perform all 23 UK shows because she wants to save her voice for her debut album.
Show bosses are said to be furious with the star's behaviour, but reluctant to discipline her because of her fragile mental state - which saw her spend four days in rehab after collapsing from exhaustion after the show's final last month.
An insider said: “No one knows quite what Susan wants to do. We’re leaving everything up to her, to make sure that she’s happy and well. But the problem is that she changes her mind every two minutes.”
Music mogul Simon Cowell is determined to look after the 48-year-old star, and has even rented a £2m (€2.34m) flat in a converted convent in north London for her and her beloved cat Pebbles.
A source told The Sun: “Simon is looking after his prize possession. She is expected to make £8m (€9.4m) in the UK alone. No expense will be spared to make sure she’s happy and well enough to perform.”
Susan's spokeswoman has denied claims the singer is trying to get out of the tour and promised she will attend rehearsals today.
She added: "Susan is eager to do the tour.”
