Morrissey races to recover for rescheduled tour
Morrissey has given himself more than a month to prepare for his rescheduled UK tour - after a bout of ill health forced him to scrap a string of forthcoming shows.
The former frontman of The Smiths has been struggling with a throat condition for months, postponing the start of his gigs in the US and cancelling dates in Britain throughout May.
He returned to the stage for a celebratory gig for his 50th birthday - but then scrapped all subsequent shows after being ordered to rest by concerned doctors.
The star has now told fans to keep hold of their tickets however - as he will be doing the gigs throughout the summer.
Morrissey's cancelled shows at London's Mile End Troxy and his three-night jaunt at the O2 Brixton Academy will be held at the end of July.
The singer's postponed show in Birmingham will also go ahead, but not until October. His Salisbury show is yet to be rescheduled.
