Allen laughs off romance with Merriweather

Popstar Lily Allen has laughed off reports that she is dating Daniel Merriweather - insisting she has not seen the musician in nearly a year.

Superproducer Mark Ronson was rumored to have turned matchmaker after encouraging Allen, who has been single since splitting with art dealer Jay Jopling in January, to date his pal.

But Allen has taken to social networking site Twitter.com to dispel the rumors - and to catch up with Merriweather himself after not seeing him since last June's Glastonbury Festival in England.

She writes to Merriweather: "Apparently we are really enjoying eachothers (sic) company at the mo (moment). I haven't seen you since glasto last year.you good ?"
