Suplee campaigns to save 'My Name is Earl'

'My Name is Earl' star Ethan Suplee has launched a campaign to save the quirky US sitcom - days after it was axed by the NBC TV network.

The show has been cancelled four years into its run and Suplee, who plays buffoon Randy, is disappointed by the news.

Now the actor has decided to take action - urging fans of the show to sign a petition to have save the program.

Suplee has posted a link on his Twitter.com internet page directing fans to the website of rival network Fox - asking them to "Save Earl" by pestering TV bosses into picking up the series.
