Potts tells Boyle to enjoy run to final
'Britain’s Got Talent' 2007 winner Paul Potts has advised this year’s sensation Susan Boyle “to take each step as it comes and enjoy each step” in her bid to emulate him.
Potts, 38, wowed the judges the public and judges alike with his rendition of 'Nessun Dorma' in the 2007 edition, going on to win the title.
Boyle’s performance of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from 'Les Miserables' has already proven a YouTube sensation, earned her an appearance on 'Oprah' and a namecheck on 'The Simpsons'.
But the 48-year-old from Blackburn, Scotland is yet to claim the title in the 2009 show.
Potts, who has been a recording and touring success since the competition, warned Boyle not to get ahead of herself.
Asked what advice he had for Boyle, he said: “At the moment the competition is still going. It hasn’t ended yet.
“I’m performing on the finale. The most important thing is to take each step and enjoy each step as it comes.”
