Stewart's baby battles
Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster are desperate to have a second child - but fear they have left it too late to conceive.
The 'Maggie May' hitmaker, 64, and model Lancaster already have one son together, three-year-old Alastair.
But their plans for another baby have suffered a setback - Lancaster, 38, has been trying to fall pregnant for more than a year without success.
She says: "I think Rod's touring and running around interferes with things but we still have high hopes."
And her spokesperson adds: "It's simply a question of age. It does become more difficult the older people are."
Stewart has five children from previous relationships; Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee and Liam.
