Eminem treating laid-off car workers to late-night show

Rapper Eminem is giving redundant US auto workers a reason to smile this week - he's treating 200 laid-off employees to an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to watch him perform on a TV talk show.

The generous star is a native of Detroit, Michigan, an area nicknamed Motor City and recognised as the hub of the American automotive industry.
