Sick Morrissey cancels gig

Morrissey has been forced to pull out of a show tonight due to illness.

The gig was due to take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall, but the 49-year-old is under doctor’s orders not to perform.

A statement from SJM Concerts said of the cancelled gig: “Event organisers would like to apologise to his fans for the disappointment but he is unable to perform and on doctor’s orders has been told to rest.”

A spokeswoman for SJM Concerts said she had no more information about the singer’s illness.

Fans are advised to hold on to their tickets and await more information about a possible re-scheduled date.
