Stamps of Simpsons issued

'The Simpsons' now have the US government’s stamp of approval.

Crew and voice-cast members of the long-running animated series attended an unveiling of five Simpsons US postage stamps at the Twentieth Century Fox lot in Los Angeles.

'The Simpsons' producer James L Brooks said the honour is “surreal”.

The stamp issue is part of a yearlong Fox celebration honouring all things Simpson.

The show’s 20th anniversary is on January 14, 2010.
