Madonna's adoption appeal hearing was adjourned after just 30 minutes on Monday - to allow the star's lawyers more time to prepare their case.
The 'Holiday' hitmaker is seeking to overturn an April court ruling in Malawi forbidding her from becoming mum to three-year-old girl Mercy James, whose mother died after giving birth.
