No Doubt rock NY with free show

Reunited rockers No Doubt brought New York to a standstill yesterday when they performed their first comeback show for hundreds of fans at a free outdoor concert.

The group, led by Gwen Stefani, marked their first live appearance since reforming after a five-year hiatus by kicking off a TV concert series on US morning show 'Today'.

Loyal fans showed up in their droves at Manhattan's Rockefeller Plaza, where Stefani belted out the band's 1990s hits including 'Spiderwebs' and 'Don't Speak'.

And the blonde mum-of-two made sure to thank their followers in between sets - insisting she's ready to return to her punk rock roots since taking a break to focus on her solo career and family life.

Stefani told the crowd: "It's my fault. I was in baby mode. I just needed to get out there... It's not quite as fun until you get with these guys."
