Penn and wife in second split

Sean Penn has filed for a legal separation from his wife Robin Wright Penn.

People.com reports that the Oscar-winning actor filed court papers last week in Marin County, California. He is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their children, daughter Dylan, 18, and 15-year-old son Hopper. The papers show the couple separated on April 23 – they have been married for 13 years.

Robin, 43, and Sean, 48, had previously started divorce proceedings in December 2007, but changed their minds four months later.
