Garner reveals Gervais' on-set japes

Jennifer Garner has revealed Ricky Gervais' sense of humour ruined a fair few takes on the set of their new movie 'The Invention Of Lying'.

“The worst thing about Ricky as a director is that if something is funny at all and it was improvisational, he breaks and laughs and ruins your take,” reveals the actress.

“I would say, ’It’s your movie. Just leave, go in another room. Let me just do it.’ He’s like, ’Just do it again.’ I said, ’Ricky, it’s not the same. You suck.’ But he knew exactly what he wanted.”

The movie, which Ricky wrote, directs and stars in, also features Jonah Hill, Jason Bateman and Tina Fey. It looks likely to be released later this year.
