Police drop 'Slumdog' dad investigation

The father of 'Slumdog Millionaire' star Rubina Ali has been cleared by Indian police over allegations he attempted to sell his young daughter.

Rafiq Qureshi was quizzed by police in Mumbai earlier this week after British newspaper News of the World alleged he offered to auction off the nine-year-old for £200,000 (€221,000).
