Malkovich declines starring role on Broadway

Actor John Malkovich has turned down an offer to star in a Broadway production of 'The Good Canary' - because he'd rather spend more time with his family.

Malkovich admits he's in talks to direct the New York theatre version of the play - about a novelist whose wife suffers from mental problems - which he's already helmed in Paris, France and Mexico.
