Gwyneth Paltrow is urging her overweight chef pal Mario Batali to slim down and shape up - by offering him free membership to her soon-to-open New York gym.

The 'Shakespeare In Love' star is a fitness fanatic and she's teamed up with personal trainer Tracy Anderson to launch an exclusive workout centre in the trendy Tribeca area of the Big Apple this summer.
