'Shifty' never fails to engage attention

Mays plays a man who returns to his old haunts after several years away and meets up with an old pal, Shifty (Ahmed).

They shoot the breeze, visit the local sights and get mixed up in the seedy world of drugs, with rival baron Flemyng out to see off his main opponent Shifty.

It’s a gritty, downbeat drama that never fails to engage our attention since the characters are painted with strength of depth and debutant director Creevy knows how to move the story along.
