Aguilera to star in burlesque movie?
Christina Aguilera is reportedly set to swap the stage for the big screen by taking on her first lead movie role - as a burlesque dancer.
The 'Dirrty' hitmaker has garnered a string of small acting roles in recent years, with cameos in 2004 animated hit 'Shark Tale' and an upcoming appearance as herself in Judd Apatow film, 'Get Him to the Greek'.
But now the star is rumoured to be in negotiations to take on her first full length project - in new movie 'Burlesque', written by Steven Antin, the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
A representative for the studio confirmed the movie is in development, but tells E! Online it is "too preliminary to comment on" casting.
'Burlesque' is due to begin filming in January 2010.
