No plans for lavish second wedding reception, says Hayek

Salma Hayek has denied she is splashing out on a swanky wedding bash.

“I think a wedding is about love, friends, family and fun,” the 42-year-old actress told People.com.

“I think spending millions of dollars on a wedding is ridiculous and it has never been my dream. I would never do that.”

Salma quietly tied the knot with partner, luxury goods CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, in Paris on Valentine’s Day. Reports had surfaced she was planning a $2m (€1.5m) lavish second ceremony and reception in April.

The couple have a daughter, Valentina Paloma, who was born in September 2007.
