Doctor urges Lohan to get help

The top Hollywood addiction specialist who predicted Britney Spears' meltdown feels sure Lindsay Lohan is heading for darker days following her split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Dr Drew Pinsky, who fronts hit reality TV show 'Celebrity Rehab', insists Lohan is a classic addict who is heading for a breakdown.

The medic, who hasn't treated the 'Mean Girls' actress, tells US news show 'Extra': "She's a straight-up addict," and she needs help.

He adds: "I've been saying for a while she's gonna have a major, major blow-out... before she becomes motivated to really capitulate to treatment."

And Dr Pinsky feels Lohan and her worried parents should follow the example set by Spears' mum and dad, who forced the pop superstar into therapy as she started to crack up in 2007.

He explains: "Britney had a severe mental illness... Britney's only alive because of the actions of her parents."
