Hatcher champions Sheridan for an Emmy

Teri Hatcher has dismissed ongoing reports she and NicolIette Sheridan never got along on the set of 'Desperate Housewives' - by insisting the actress should land an Emmy nomination for her final episode on the show.

Sheridan recently filmed her finale, in which her character Edie Britt appears to die in a bizarre car crash, and Hatcher is adamant she will be missed.

Scoffing at any suggestion Sheridan was unpopular on the set, Hatcher says: "I feel really grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her... She deserves all the honour and respect in the world.

"Her final performance was a fabulously written episode. She should get nominated for an Emmy."
