Winehouse gives up on marriage

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has quit trying to save her marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil - announcing the decision with a message posted online.

The 'Rehab' singer jetted back from a three-month hiatus on the Caribbean island of St Lucia earlier this month, when she learned Fielder-Civil had been released from his prison sentence for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Yet despite writing heartfelt pleas for a reconciliation on her Facebook page, an announcement posted on the site recently suggests Winehouse has given up any hope of salvaging her marriage.

She wrote: "I don't think I'll ever see (Blake) again."
