Paltrow confused by fame

Gwyneth Paltrow has no idea why she's always in the media spotlight - because fans would rather read about Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears' outrageous antics.

The actress was already famed for her turns in films such as 'Shakespeare in Love' when she married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2003.

The union, and subsequent birth of her two children, Apple and Moses, turned her into one half of Hollywood's most famous couple.

But Paltrow can't understand the media interest in her, insisting she lives "a very quiet life".

She says, "I understand it if you're being a loudmouth and you're criticising people and you're drunk in public - you're a lightning rod.

"It's obvious if you're wild you're drawing the attention, like Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. But I live a very quiet life. I don't do anything scandalous - not that I wouldn't, just happen not to."
