Leona Lewis landed a staggering €1m pay cheque to perform at a recent private birthday party.

The singer made a surprise appearance at a 21st birthday bash for the daughter of British mobile phone mogul John Caudwell at the family's mansion in Staffordshire, England.

Lewis, who won 'The X Factor' in 2006, performed seven songs - including a rendition of Happy Birthday - for Caudwell's daughter Libby, according to The Sun.

A spokesman for the star said: "She did perform at a private event, but all details are confidential."
