Jade's sons 'have made Mother's Day cards'

Jade Goody’s young sons have made hand-painted Mother’s Day cards for her, it was reported today.

The 27-year-old reality TV star, who has terminal cancer, is spending her final days at home with her family.

According to newspaper reports, sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, crafted the cards to let their mother know they are thinking of her. A relative will deliver them to her Essex home today.

Goody, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, has been drifting in and out of consciousness in recent days as her mother Jackiey Budden and husband Jack Tweed keep a bedside vigil.

Publicist Max Clifford said the family have made no plans for Mother’s Day.

He previously described Goody’s condition as “very weak” but said she had “put her house in order”.

Goody has told her sons, who are staying with their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, that she will soon be in heaven.

She spoke to them after coming home from hospital last Thursday, saying: “Mummy’s going to heaven soon.

“I’m going to be a star up in the sky so when you are looking up you will be able to see me and know I’m there, always looking over you.

“Mummy’s going to be up there looking over you. Close your eyes and you can talk to me.”

Goody has told family and friends she wants her funeral to be a “celebration” of her life.

“She wants it to be a big celebration because it’s her final farewell to everybody,” Mr Clifford said.

“She’s the world’s first reality television star.

“It will be a very Jade Goody event – exactly the way she wants it.”

The funeral is expected to see a cortege drive through the streets of Bermondsey, south east London, where Goody grew up.

She will be buried in the churchyard of St John the Baptist in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
