Dying Jade 'desperate' to go home
Terminally ill Jade Goody was today preparing to return home to spend her final days with her children, her publicist said.
The 27-year-old reality television star is “desperate” to leave the Royal Marsden Hospital, in west London, Max Clifford said.
Goody, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last summer, has been told she has weeks to live.
“She is desperate to go home,” said Mr Clifford. “It might be today, it could be tomorrow, it could be Friday. If she is feeling better today and she feels up to it, and there’s a nurse available to go with her, it could be today.
“What nobody wants is for her to go home and be in dreadful pain and have to come back the next day. The last time she was at home they couldn’t contain her pain.
“The people at the Marsden are expert at that and it would be a case of a nurse going with her and teaching other nurses how to control it.
“It’s purely a question of them saying: ’Right she’s up to it, we’ll get an ambulance and take her home’.”
Mr Clifford said Goody wanted to be with her two sons, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, and husband, Jack Tweed, 21.
“She wants to spend as much time as possible with the boys and Jack,” he said. “At the moment, that’s very difficult.
“Jack has been there and her mother has been there. Jade is doing as well as can be expected.”
