Fab Four to star in new 'Rock Band' game
The 'Rock Band' video game franchise is to feature The Beatles, it was announced today.
The Beatles’ management said today that a new version of the game will be released in September.
Accompanying instruments modelled after the ones used by the band will also be on the market.
Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin, is developing the product.
The Beatles, who broke up four decades before video games were invented, have been slow in embracing new technology - their music is still not available for sale on iTunes.
The band’s management Apple are partners in the project with MTV Games and Harmonix.
