Jacko's Neverland possessions go on display in Kildare
An exclusive world preview of personal property belonging to Michael Jackson will go on view in Kildare tonight.
An iconic white-jewelled glove, a selection of his on-stage costumes, and fedoras from the Billie Jean video will be among the array of treasures from the pop king’s Neverland Ranch that will go on show before going under the hammer.
The highlights from the King of Pop: A Once in a Lifetime Auction will be on display to the media at the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons today before being opened to the public tomorrow for two weeks.
More than 2,000 items of memorabilia from the life and career of Michael Jackson will be sold during a four-day action at Beverly Hills based Julien’s Auctions next month.
Athlone-born Martin Nolan, co-owner of Julien’s Auctions, chose Newbridge as the venue for the only exhibition of the pop star’s personal items in Europe.
They go on display in the US on Tuesday, April 14.
Die-hard fans from across Europe are expected to descend on Newbridge over the coming weeks for the free exhibition.
Lavish costumes, paintings, and smaller items of furniture from the superstar’s spanning estate are also among the hundred of items shipped to Ireland for the exclusive preview.
