Cancer-stricken Jade Goody was tonight being operated on to relieve pain in her bowel, her spokesman said.

The 27-year-old reality TV star has been experiencing crippling stomach pains which led to her being admitted to the Royal Marsden Hospital, in Fulham, south west London last night.
