Barrymore in talks to direct 'Twilight' instalment

Drew Barrymore is apparently in talks to direct the third instalment of the hit 'Twilight' franchise.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the actress is among candidates being lined up to direct 'Eclipse', which has been slated for release next June. She would follow in the footsteps of Catherine Hardwicke who directed last year’s first film.

Chris Weitz is helming the second instalment, 'New Moon', soon to begin shooting with stars Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart.

Drew has just completed filming on her directorial debut 'Whip It!' starring Ellen Page and Juliette Lewis.
